Wanna know a little secret? I really suck at graphics! No matter what software I use, it always looks like it was drawn by a chimpanzee on meth. I can't afford a hotshot graphic designer because I'm still paying off my root canal (among other things) from a year ago. But if you enter this contest you can feel happy that you have helped fuel a grass roots movement away from corporate shenanigans and dot com bozos. And if you win you will be famous, because the winner will have their name and link PERMANENTLY emblazoned rather prominently on the Top Users page, as well as embedded in every link to the graphics.
Every reasonable entrant gets 50 points just for entering. The winner walks away with 50,000 points, and I do plan to allow you to spend them or sell them eventually. Design students, ask your teachers about credit for this, even if you don't win. It's better than doing graphics for some bogus company because you know it will be put to good use. And you can put it on your resume and I will write flowery prose about how great you are if you like.
We need a suite of coordinated graphics:
1 or more 468x60 standard banners, either animated or not, but none more than 15K
1 logo approximately the proportions of the current one, in various sizes.
1 or more 120 x 60 small banners animated or not, but no more than 10K
1 or more 88 x 31 tiny banners, animated or not, but no more than 5K
We're not limited to just one winner. Bonus if you make your graphics in other languages or send us layered originals as well as dumbed down GIFs so we can do it.
